WSET Level 1 Award in Wines

Would you like to know more about wine?  About how that particular taste got into your glass?
WSET Level 1:  This is a full day course that introduces students to the world of wine.  During the 8-hour hands-on workshop we will explore how wine is made; wine styles, classic wines, grape varieties, and what contributes to taste and impression of wine (and what makes some people have different opinions about wines); and into food and wine pairings. It is a great introduction to wine, suitable for anyone interested in wine, and for servers who have not yet had formal wine education.

WSET Level 2 Award in Wines

No Prerequisite
This introductory wine course covers major grape varieties and where they are grown around the world. Students are taught how to taste wine professionally using the WSET Systematic Approach to Tasting. The course will be of great interest to anyone employed in hospitality, as well as to wine enthusiasts who want to acquire in-depth knowledge of wines and spirits. Introductory restaurant service will also be covered. Graduates of the course will receive the internationally recognized certification of WSET® Level 2 Award in Wines.

WSET Level 2 is the first course leading to the Professional Sommelier Program.

Advanced Registration: $850 plus Taxes. Up to 1 month before the start of class.

Registration: $950 plus Taxes. Within 1 month before the start of class.

Class Times: Evenings – 6:30pm -9:00pm

                         Full Day – 9:00am – 5:00pm

WSET Level 3 Award in Wines

Prerequisites: WSET Level 2 Award in Wines & Spirits or ISG WFCL1

This intermediate course provides a more comprehensive coverage of the wide range of wines and spirits around the world. The qualification has an increased focus on wine tasting technique and on the application of knowledge gained through the course. More in-depth restaurant service is also covered. The program is suitable for those employed in the hospitality industry who need a solid core of information to advise management and customers; and to wine connoisseurs who wish to learn about wines and spirits in a structured, challenging program with an internationally recognized qualification. Graduates of the course will receive the internationally recognized certification of WSET® Level 3 Award in Wines.

This course is the prerequisite to the BJWI Professional Sommelier Program accredited by CAPS Canada

Classes Times: Intensive –  Full day classes. 9:00am – 5:00pm

Evenings – 6:00pm – 9:00pm

Advanced Registration: $1550 plus Taxes. Up to 1 month before the start of class.

Registration: $1750 plus Taxes. Within 1 month before the start of class.
